Skype4Outlook Toolbar Installation Instructions

1. Save the Skype4Outlook installation file to your hard drive.
2. Close Microsoft Office Outlook and all other applications on your computer
3. Locate and double-click the Skype4Outlook installation file you just saved to launch the installation wizard
4. Follow the installation instructions and when finished…
5. Open Outlook and wait at least 20 seconds for the application to load completely
6. The toolbar should appear after approx 10 secs – if it does not appear after 60 seconds, please reboot your computer and then start Outlook again. Some older computer configurations were experiencing this bug in an earlier Beta version of the toolbar. If you experience any problems with installation, do let us know.
7. Navigate to your Outlook Address Book (where all your contacts are listed in Outlook)
8. Select a contact that uses Skype from within your Outlook address book
9. Click the Skype button on the Toolbar (this will open a pull down sub menu)
10. Click the menu item called MODIFY SKYPE ID
11. Enter the Skype ID of the contact you selected into this field and then click OK
12. Now you are ready to make Skype to Skype calls for FREE!
13. If you have money in your Skype-Out account, you can also use the Skype4Outlook Toolbar to dial regular phone numbers stored in Outlook for each of your contacts simply select the contact from within Outlook then click on the Skype4Outlook Toolbar to open the submenu where all phone numbers for this contact are listed then release the mouse button over the number you want to dial and the Toolbar will initiate the call for you via Skype. It’s that easy!
14. Be sure that your phone numbers are formatted as per international standards so that Skype-Out dials correctly (even for local calls) You can use "00" or "011" or “+” before the country code (without the quotes)

    You can use any of the four following examples to store phone numbers in Outlook.
